|Abstract:DNA nanocage is a nanoscale three-dimensional polyhedral structure formed by self-assemblied oligonucleotide strands by base pairing. As a potential nano-drug carrier, it has a stable structure, good compatibility, and it is easy to penetrate the cell membranes. Also, it has nano-cavity which is a good drug carrier. Because of these, it has received more and more attention. In this paper, we reviewed the structural characteristics, synthetic methods and targeted modification of DNA nanocage, and its application in drug carriers, biological imaging, in vitro diagnosis and materials science.
